The Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library will host “Spams, Scams, and Fraud: Let’s Not Be a Victim” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 18.

This step-by-step workshop is part two of the Fraud Prevention & Response series.

Each session stands on its own, so attendees do not need to have participated in part one to benefit from this workshop.

Part one focused on prevention and awareness, while part two will focus on response and recovery.

Learn how to respond effectively if your personal or financial information has been compromised, the immediate steps to take, who to contact, how to secure financial accounts and devices, monitor credit and account activity, document the incident, and develop a practical recovery plan.

Participants will leave with practical resources and, most importantly, a thoughtful plan for where to begin should the unexpected occur.

This program will be presented by Laura Reeves, CFP®, CRPC®, owner of LJR Financial.

With more than 15 years of community outreach Laura has educated hundreds of people at libraries, senior centers, churches, colleges, and community organizations.

Her workshops focus on practical financial education and helping individuals maintain their financial wellbeing while navigating life’s uncertainties with greater confidence.

Registration is required for this free program. To register, visit tinyurl.com/ScamJackson, call 732-928-4400, or stop by the branch at 2 Jackson Drive.
