Woven Corn

Join Master Basket Maker Mary May on Sunday, November 12th, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Tuckerton Seaport’s Hunting Shanty for a workshop on creating your woven earn of corn!
Mary May is a master basketmaker whose designs showcase traditional South Jersey Baskets used in this area for utilitarian purposes.
This basket style is a unique folk art passed down from generation to generation in the Barnegat Bay area.
This beautiful centerpiece for your holiday table will be woven from reed and adorned with real corn husks. you can select from a variety of color choices.
Participants ages 16+ are welcome to attend. All materials are included. The cost is $42 for members and $46 for nonmembers.
