Santacruzan Processions- Filipino Religious Event Santacruzan is a beautiful Roman Catholic religious tradition that is practiced only in the Philippines, where the month of May is the month of flowers that celebrates and honors the Blessed Virgin Mary. Nine days of novena prayer lead up to the day of procession, known as Santacruzan. During this procession, more than 18 young beautiful ladies portray the different virtues of Holy Mary Queen, as wearing noble elaborated dresses and symbols under decorated arches. “Ave Maria” is sung while reflecting and praying during the procession, which is followed by the Eucharistic mass.
