SUMMARY:Drawing with Joseph Rogine
DESCRIPTION:1:00 PM – 3:00 PM \nThis class is being offered to ages 12 and up! \n$20.00 for members per class \n$25.00 for non members per class \nInstructor: Joseph Rogine \nThese classes are designed for both beginning to advanced students who want to sharpen their skills in drawing. \nI have taught students for over 25 years who have never picked up a pencil to draw to those who have been quite advanced. \nIt is an academic course\, (academic being defined as that which can be taught). \nDrawings are created by copying master drawings\, simple to complex still-life objects and classical plaster casts. \nThe student usually begins by copying a master drawing that is supplied to them. \nAll students start out using graphite pencils with grades of 2H HB 2B. \nThe capabilities and limitations of drawing materials and drawing instruments are discussed at length along with their proper handling. \nClasses are essentially about learning how to see nature and the world as an artist sees it\, through the language and medium of drawing. \nThe student’s eye will gradually become trained and sensitive on how to compose a layout on the page\, assessing proportion\, elementary perspective\, gauge angles\, identify shapes\, access the degree of curvature of forms\, locate hidden movements and linear rhythms\, the structure and modeling of form and the study of light and shade. \nThis opens a whole new world towards a visual literacy that was very common in school curricula 100 to 150 years ago. \nDepending on a students’ progress and particular interest repeat students are free to experiment with various drawing mediums like charcoal\, pastel pencil\, pen and ink etc.\, along with the drawing surfaces applicable to their chosen medium. Joseph Rogine supply list 2024. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Joseph Rogine at 732-349-6859\, or by email at info@ocartistsguild.org. SUMMARY:James D'Amico's Sun Concerts and The Strand Theater Present MEET LOAF A TRIBUTE TO MEET LOAF
DESCRIPTION:Bat Out Of Hell is the 1977 debut album written and composed by Jim Steinman and performed by Michael Lee Aday A.K.A. Meat Loaf. \nIt is one of the best-selling albums of all time\, selling 43 million copies worldwide and 14 times platinum. \nConsidering himself an actor before a singer\, Meat Loaf was pictured in the 1975 cult classic film\, The Rocky Horror Picture Show\, and is featured on several songs in the film\, such as “Hot Patootie” and “Time Warp”. \nAt any given Meet Loaf tribute show\, expect these smash hits to be performed flawlessly. \nAside from evoking the heartfelt nostalgia of the 1977 Bat Out of Hell album as well as various other Meat Loaf Hits\, Meet Loaf also tributes the genius of Jim Steinman\, known for his superior songwriting and outstanding composition. Steinman hits performed in this spectacular concert\, include but are not limited to\, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” by Celine Dion\, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler\, “Dead Ringer for Love” featuring Cher\, and “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” by Air Supply. \nThe “Meet Loaf” tribute show epitomizes the Meat Loaf experience in a look-a-like and sound-a-like event\, that leaves audiences awestruck. \nA world-class show that delivers the powerful wide-ranging male and female operatic lead vocals\, along with the epic theatrical elements that Meat Loaf fans have come to love\, in an unforgettable evening of smash hits. \nIf you love the music of Meat Loaf\, get revved up\, because Meet Loaf really ignites! \nFor crying out loud\, and in the words of the Meat Loaf legend himself\, \n“Keep Rockin’!” \nstrand.org \nNovember 21\, 2026 Doors 6:30 Show 8:00
