SUMMARY:A Medium Gallery Show with Linda Shields\, The Jersey Shore Medium
DESCRIPTION:At just eight years old\, Linda Shields discovered her gift\, which would later on turn into a lifelong career for herself. \nIt wasn’t until she was pushed into it that she discovered what it was that she’d be doing for the rest of her life. \nNow\, 54 years later\, the Jersey Shore Medium is touring around the country and continues to be surrounded by spirits in her day-to-day work. \nEleven years ago\, Shields launched her career into becoming the Jersey Shore Medium. \nIt all started in her early twenties when someone approached her with tarot cards. \nLittle did she know she would never see that person again; however\, she would end up needing those cards again someday. \nIt became public for Shields in the summer of 1990 when she received a phone call to do a reading. \nShields’ grandmother was also a psychic who taught her how to turn off and on her senses as well as understand them. \n“There has never been a time where I could not connect with someone\,” says Shields. “It’s the readings that when I can give closure or hope\, that’s what keeps me going.” \nShields is able to use the psychic senses of hearing (Clairaudience)\, tasting/smelling (Clairsentient)\, and physical feeling or being an Empath during a reading. \nShe was never afraid of her spirits due to the fact that she was always surrounded by them. The Jersey Shore Medium admits that she favors Clairaudience because it’s like having a personal dialogue in her head. \n“I want to stay where I am. I like being the Jersey Shore Medium. I just want in the years to come to have the health to keep doing what I’m doing. \nAs long as I have the energy and the blessings to do it\, I’ll do it as long as I can\,” Shields states. \nShields offers private medium readings\, medium gallery parties\, private tarot card readings\, lectures\, and fundraising events. \nIn addition\, the Jersey Shore native is also the published author of Angel Inspirations for Serenity and Love\, Crystal Power\, and 12\,000 Dreams Interpreted. \nstrand.org

SUMMARY:Best Friends Girl – The #1 CARS Experience
DESCRIPTION:Best Friends Girl recreate the timeless hits of The Cars spanning a 35-year career\, with over 23 million albums sold and having more than 22 songs on the Billboard top 100. \nThe Cars undoubtedly left their mark in popular culture with notable hits like “Best Friends Girl\,” “Shake It Up\,” “Magic\,” “Lets Go” and of course\, “Moving in Stereo” \nwhich gained notoriety from its placement in the movie “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” \nBest Friends Girl are comprised of lifelong\, top-notch\, professional musicians whose goal is to keep the music of The Cars alive with every performance! \nThe Cars’ journey began with Ric Ocasek and Benjamin Orr collaborating on several projects in the early 70’s. \n  Ric and Benjamin eventually completed the lineup with Greg Hawkes\, Elliot Easton\, and David Robinson in Boston in 1976. \nIn the confusion left behind from the death of disco and the angst of punk\, they forged a new direction bringing together the synthesizer sound with classic rock and roll roots. \nIt created a unique sound for the time and icon John Lennon became a fan stating\, “I think The Cars’ ‘Touch and Go’ is right out of the fifties ‘Oh\, oh…‘ A lot of it is fifties stuff. \nBut with eighties styling.”
