DESCRIPTION:Main Stage \n(Building 11A) \nTickets $39 \n\nUsing both folk and classical music and dance\, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company’s Dia de los Muertos explores a love story that spans the boundary between the living and the departed. A loving couple falls victim to treachery and is separated\, seemingly forever. The young woman enters Mictlán- the underworld of Aztec mythology- where the mesmerizing Catrina reigns as queen. \n\nThe original concept for Dia de los Muertos was a show by Calpulli premiered in 2004 at Queens Theatre in the Park named “Tiempo de Cempazuchitl/ Time of the Marigold.” Then Artistic Director Noemy Hernandez created Calpulli’s first story-based production of “Dia de los Muertos” in 2012 premiered at the Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University.  The final production of story was premiered at Queens Theatre in 2016 under the Artistic Direction of Alberto Lopez Herrera\, Dramaturg and co-story writer Roberto Lara\, with Music Direction by George Saenz. \n\nhttps://www.grunincenter.org/event/calpulli-mexican-dance-company/ \nwww.grunincenter@ocean.edu \n732-255-0500 \n

DESCRIPTION:It’s time for the Harvest Hootenanny in the Pines Show! \nAs the trees start to turn colors\, join us indoors for a fun Fall afternoon. \nEnjoy a mix of great Folk\, Country\, Bluegrass\, Traditional\, Americana and beyond in the Pines. \nNote that we don’t have a Saturday show on October 11th as our volunteers will be at the Wells Mills Jamboree where we organize the music. \nThis week there will be 6 bands: OK Boomers\, The Wild Grit\, Elaine and the Cimarron Sky\, Mike Wheeler\, Fish and Whistle\, and Billy T. Midnight. \nThe snack bar will be serving Pulled Pork\, Meatballs\, Kielbasa & Kraut\, Cheeseburgers\, Hot Dogs and Vegan “Chik’n” patties along with a variety of desserts and beverages. \nThe gift store is stocked with Albert Music Hall t-shirts\, mugs\, souvenirs and music/Pinelands-themed gifts. There will be a 50/50 drawing. Parking is free and the building is wheelchair accessible. \nAdults $10\, children under 12 $1.
