DESCRIPTION:Danny’s Walk to Save the Children \nMany of you know that we lost my brother\, Danny\, to cancer on August 20\, 2021. This was a devastating loss to our entire family\, all of his friends\, and to everyone who knew him. \nWe will never forget what happened on that day and will always have a piece of our heart missing. \nRather than dwelling in sadness on each anniversary\, we thought that it was important to all come together and do something positive. \nDanny was passionate about protecting women\, especially children\, from human trafficking and other horrible circumstances. \nMonths before his passing\, he had a dream. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, 7/25/2026 09:00am to 5:30pm Toms River Elks \n600 Washington Street \nToms River\, NJ  08753   Ocean County \n\nGet your NJ Boating Safety Certificate and be ready for the summer!  NASBLA certified classes – use your NJ boat Safety Certificate in other states!  Our instructors will provide you with a fun-filled and educational look at Boat Safety in New Jersey. \n\nIf you are operating a personal watercraft (Jet Ski\, Wave Runner\, etc.)\, or a power vessel on the waters of the State of New Jersey you are required to possess a New Jersey boat safety certificate. This class meets the State of New Jersey – Division of State Police Marine Law Enforcement requirements for boat safety education.  Temporary certifications will be given upon successful completion of the course.  All Boat Safe US Courses are approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard. \n\nRegister for the class at  www.boatsafeus.com/schedule-class \n609-613-2339 \n\nClasses are $110 and are completed in a one-day class (8 1/2  hour day including lunch break and test time) or in two evenings (two 3 1/2 hour classes with mandatory homework).  At the conclusion of the class\, every student\, age 13 and over\, will receive a valid New Jersey State Boaters Safety Certificate. This Certificate is valid for Power Boats and Jet Skis (age 16 and over) and is accepted throughout many states as a valid form of having completed a Boaters Safety Course. \n\nProctored Exams Available!! DESCRIPTION:Kids Surfing Camp With Coastline Adventures & Toms River Recreation \nDates: Monday – Thursday\, July 27- 30 \, 2026 Friday is scheduled as rain date \nTime:  1:00PM to 4:00PM \nLocation: Ortley Beach\, 3rd Avenue \nAges: 10-16 years old \nDescription:  Join Coastline Adventures and Toms River Recreation for week-long camp for beginner and intermediate level surfers. \nLearn and practice ocean awareness and surfing techniques includes both board and water-based lessons and progressive skill building. \nSurfers will learn about wave and weather reports\, beach and ocean conditions and related safety protocols\, surfboard handling and etiquette\, wave selection and riding techniques\, environmental and conservation tips\, interactive games\, and more!!! \nRequirements:  Participants MUST know how to swim. \nEquipment:  Surfboard\, leash and rash guards are provided for use during class.  Participants may bring their own rash guards or wetsuits. \nBeach badges are NOT required to attend class or for guardians to watch class but are required if participants or guardians plan on staying after class ends. \n\nCoastline Adventures Surfing School is accredited by the National Surf/SUP Schools and Instructors Association and brings over 30 years of professional experience providing safe\, high-quality surf\, bodyboard\, and stand-up paddleboard instruction throughout the Jersey Shore. Led by Lance Tompkins and Jennifer Steffener\, both NSSIA Certified Master Level Surf Instructors\, the school combines nationally recognized training standards with deep local knowledge of Ocean County beaches\, bays\, tides\, and weather conditions. Their approach blends skill development\, ocean and bay safety and education\, confidence building\, fitness\, and environmental awareness in a fun\, supportive setting. Lance brings over 50 years of surfing experience and decades of teaching board sports\, while Jennifer contributes over 30 years of surfing\, bodyboarding\, paddleboarding\, wellness\, and movement instruction experience.
