DESCRIPTION:Wednesday & Friday\, 9/16/2026 & 9/18/2026 6:00pm to 9:30pm Toms River Elks \n600 Washington Street \nToms River\, NJ  08753   Ocean County \n\nGet your NJ Boating Safety Certificate and be ready for the summer!  NASBLA certified classes – use your NJ boat Safety Certificate in other states!  Our instructors will provide you with a fun-filled and educational look at Boat Safety in New Jersey. \n\nIf you are operating a personal watercraft (Jet Ski\, Wave Runner\, etc.)\, or a power vessel on the waters of the State of New Jersey you are required to possess a New Jersey boat safety certificate. This class meets the State of New Jersey – Division of State Police Marine Law Enforcement requirements for boat safety education.  Temporary certifications will be given upon successful completion of the course.  All Boat Safe US Courses are approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard. \n\nRegister for the class at  www.boatsafeus.com/schedule-class \n609-613-2339 \n\nClasses are $110 and are completed in a one-day class (8 1/2  hour day including lunch break and test time) or in two evenings (two 3 1/2 hour classes with mandatory homework).  At the conclusion of the class\, every student\, age 13 and over\, will receive a valid New Jersey State Boaters Safety Certificate. This Certificate is valid for Power Boats and Jet Skis (age 16 and over) and is accepted throughout many states as a valid form of having completed a Boaters Safety Course. \n\nProctored Exams Available!! DESCRIPTION:International pianist Ching-Yi Lin presents “Heroic Journey\,” a program that explores transformation\, struggle\, and triumph through music. \nFrom the dramatic intensity of Bach’s Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue to the brilliance of Chopin’s Heroic Polonaise\, the program is anchored by Beethoven’s Eroica Variations and the transcendent final sonata\, Op. 111\, tracing a powerful emotional arc from conflict to resolution. \nOriginally from Yunlin\, Taiwan\, Dr. Lin holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and has appeared at distinguished venues including Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center\, Van Cliburn Concert Hall in Texas\, Washington National Cathedral\, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. As a soloist\, he has been recognized in numerous international competitions\, earning awards at the Beethoven International Piano Competition in Singapore\, the New York International Artists Association Competition\, the NTD International Piano Competition in New York City\, Second Prize at the Texas State International Piano Competition\, Third Prize at the Marbella International Piano Competition\, and the Wonderlic Piano Competition. \nIn addition to his solo career\, Lin has collaborated with members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra\, National Symphony Orchestra\, and the Philadelphia Orchestra\, and in 2024 he was featured as guest pianist in a special concert honoring Leon Fleisher at the Mohican Hills Concert Series. SUMMARY:48th Annual Festival of the Sea
DESCRIPTION:Local restaurants and vendors provide the large crowds with delicacies such as crab cakes\, shrimp skewers\, soups and bisques\, lobster\, and other seafood items. \nDon’t like seafood? No problem\, there are plenty of other varieties of food to purchase! \nThe Festival also features HUNDREDS of craft vendors with “hard to find” and unique items. \nLooking for great entertainment? There is a stage set in the food\, wine and beer court area located in the municipal parking lot at the corner of route 35 South and Arnold Ave\, hosting local musicians and other entertaining acts. \nThe Festival of the Sea is annually held in the month of September\, and visitors have historically been treated to great weather. \nAlso\, the local businesses have a chance to offer many of their summer goods at sale prices. \nFor more information\, please call 732-899-2424 \nHeld downtown on both Arnold and Bay Avenues. \nSeptember 19th at 10:00am
