SUMMARY:Biscuit Plays Buddy: Special Guest- Jeff Levine James “Biscuit” Rouse
DESCRIPTION:Drummer\, singer\, songwriter\, musical director\, and producer James “Biscuit” Rouse recently released his first solo album  titled “Biscuit and Buddy” after working as a sought-after drummer and vocalist in many bands. Rouse a Philadelphia native decided to bring a twist to this debut release and largely dedicated it to interpreting the music of one of his heroes\,  drummer George “Buddy” Miles. Buddy Miles is best known for his work with Jimi Hendrix\, Carlos Santana\, The Electric Flag\, Mike Bloomfield and Bootsy Collins\, but he’s also known for interpreting tracks like “Down by the River\,” written by Neil Young. \n\nAfter interpreting some of Miles’ music live with Vernon Reid\, Rouse received encouragement to keep exploring Miles’ music\, resulting in several years’ work leading up to the album. He had the support and encouragement of many of the musicians who had worked with Buddy Miles in the past and the great guest musicians Doug Wimbash on bass\, Vernon Reid on guitar\, and Marcus Machado on guita who appear on the album.. Rouse received the Buddy Miles award at the R & B Hall of Fame induction on October 6th in Cleveland. he will be sharing Buddy’s music live at the Lizzie Rose Music Room. \n\nFri. DESCRIPTION:You’d be hard-pressed to find a band with a more impressive collective resume than Cimarron 615. \n\nThe quartet — just releasing its second\, self-titled album — is a hall of fame-caliber assemblage\, with credits that look like a who’s-who of Americana\, country and rock history. “We’ve all been around a long time and done a lot of work — and a lot of it together\,” notes drummer Rick Lonow. “There’s history here.” \n\nWhere the four musicians intersect is via the famed country-rock band Poco. Lonow and Jack Sundrud were its longtime rhythm section until the band ceased when co-founder Rusty Young died in 2021. Michael Webb played in the band for eight years\, while Ronnie Guilbeau co-wrote Poco’s 1989 Top 20 single “Call It Love” with Lonow. Webb and Sundrud co-produced Poco’s All Fired Up album in 2013\, and Lonow\, Webb and Sundrud played on Young’s 2017 solo album\, Waitin’ For the Sun. \n\nWed. DESCRIPTION:An Evening of Song & Stories \n\nWe are proud to welcome the multi-instrumentalist John McEuen to the Lizzie Rose Music Room. John was a member of the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band for over 20 years and has rejoined them for several reunions and special music projects. In 1971 he was the catalyst that brought together the greatest musicians from country and bluegrass together to join the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to produce the iconic and award-winning three LP set called “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”. This LP has been heralded as ” one of the most important records to ever come out of Nashville”… as written by Rolling Stone columnist Chet Flippo. \n\nJohn has seven solo LPs to his credit\, along with movie soundtrack scores\, appearances and session work on 46 LPs with various artists and the little-known fact that he gave banjo lessons to comedian Steve Martin and played on Martin’s hit novelty song “King Tut”. John was inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall Of Honor in 2009 and into the Bluegrass Hall Of Fame in 2017. His storied career continues on\, and we are overjoyed to have him grace our stage. \n\nThur. DESCRIPTION:Since 1974\, Albert Music Hall has offered a lively stage for traditional music in Waretown\, New Jersey. \nEvery Saturday night\, the hall comes alive with the sound of live Bluegrass\, Country\, Folk\, Americana\, Old Timey\, and Pinelands music. \nThe Saturday Night show will feature 6 bands throughout the evening. Check https://alberthall.org for the latest information about the band lineup. \nDoors open at 5:30pm / Music 6:00 – 9:00pm. \nAdmission $6 for adults/$1 for children under 12. DESCRIPTION:Fresh  from winning another Blues Music Award at the recent festivities in Memphis for “Best Blues Rock Album” as a member of the “Blood Brothers\,”  along with labelmate Mike Zito\, Albert Castiglia comes out guitar-slinging on his new solo Gulf Coast Records album\,  Righteous Souls\, set for release on July 19th. Gulf Coast will release the new album’s first single\, “Centerline\,” featuring Popa Chubby (along with single and album digital pre-orders at all digital outlets)\, on June 14; to be followed by “Mama I Love You\,” featuring Kevin Burt\, on June 28; and “You Can’t Judge a Book By the Cover\,” featuring Christone ”Kingfish” Ingram and Rayne Castiglia\, on July 12th. \n\nMiami-raised Albert Castiglia served an apprenticeship while backing legendary blues musician Junior Wells. He later went on to work with singer Sandra Hall. Never content to allow himself to be confined to any particular category\, he embarked on a solo career that’s yielded many critically-acclaimed albums and consist kudos for his exceptional instrumental prowess\, his searing vocals\, and live performances that have dazzled audiences from coast to coast.
