DESCRIPTION:The music of Elvis\, Johnny Cash\, Jerry Lee Lewis\, and others has long been a popular fixture at the Hall. After having so much fun at last year’s Elvis Show\, we decided to bring it back—this time with a broader theme. Our musicians will pay tribute to the city that reshaped American music throughout the ’50s\, ’60s\, and ’70s\, all with a Pinelands flair. From Sun Records’ rockabilly and country to the soul and blues of Stax—anything goes\, as long as it’s Made in Memphis. \n\nDoors open at 5:30pm and we will start the show at 6:30pm. The lineup is as follows: \n\n– Piney Blues \n– Redbird\, Ryan Gregg & Greg McGarvey \n– The Bluefins \n– Basement Musicians \n– Billy Penn & The Inside Drivers \n​​ \nAdmission is $6\, or $1 for kids under 12. DESCRIPTION:The California Guitar trio returns to the Lizzie Rose Music Room. Their performance last March was\, in one word\, stunning. \nFor all the guitar players and enthusiasts out there\, this is a show you do not want to miss. The three guitarists met in England when they were studying with the founder and mastermind behind the British prog band King Crimson. \nThe band consists of two guitarists who play conventional guitars and another member who plays a polyphonic double “Chapman Stick”. This instrument was made popular by bassist Tony Levin who played in a later incarnation of King Crimson. In this context it is also used as a lead or complementing instrument to create an ethereal atmosphere. \nThese three musicians combine to create magical soundscapes that are superficially inspired by Fripp’s style of playing\, but this trio really has their own incredible sound with original compositions that range from classical to jazz and prog. DESCRIPTION:From New Jersey\, John Gorka is a world-renowned singer-songwriter who got his start at a neighborhood coffeehouse in eastern Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION:Drummer\, singer\, songwriter\, musical director\, and producer James “Biscuit” Rouse recently released his first solo album  titled “Biscuit and Buddy” after working as a sought-after drummer and vocalist in many bands. Rouse a Philadelphia native decided to bring a twist to this debut release and largely dedicated it to interpreting the music of one of his heroes\,  drummer George “Buddy” Miles. Buddy Miles is best known for his work with Jimi Hendrix\, Carlos Santana\, The Electric Flag\, Mike Bloomfield and Bootsy Collins\, but he’s also known for interpreting tracks like “Down by the River\,” written by Neil Young. \n\nAfter interpreting some of Miles’ music live with Vernon Reid\, Rouse received encouragement to keep exploring Miles’ music\, resulting in several years’ work leading up to the album. He had the support and encouragement of many of the musicians who had worked with Buddy Miles in the past and the great guest musicians Doug Wimbash on bass\, Vernon Reid on guitar\, and Marcus Machado on guita who appear on the album.. Rouse received the Buddy Miles award at the R & B Hall of Fame induction on October 6th in Cleveland. he will be sharing Buddy’s music live at the Lizzie Rose Music Room. \n\nFri.
