DESCRIPTION:Nat Adderley\, Jr. spent 25 years as the Music Director for rhythm and blues singer Luther Vandross\, but after Vandross passed away in 2005\, Adderley\, Jr.\, the son of trumpeter Nat Adderley and nephew of alto saxophonist Julian “Cannonball” Adderley\, returned to his roots as a jazz pianist\, mixing hard bop with R&B. \nIn October 2025\, Adderley released his first jazz album as a leader Took So Long. \nThe album soared to the top of the JazzWeek charts\, spending six weeks at Number 1. As a soloist\, he has been recognized in numerous international competitions\, earning awards at the Beethoven International Piano Competition in Singapore\, the New York International Artists Association Competition\, the NTD International Piano Competition in New York City\, Second Prize at the Texas State International Piano Competition\, Third Prize at the Marbella International Piano Competition\, and the Wonderlic Piano Competition. \nIn addition to his solo career\, Lin has collaborated with members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra\, National Symphony Orchestra\, and the Philadelphia Orchestra\, and in 2024 he was featured as guest pianist in a special concert honoring Leon Fleisher at the Mohican Hills Concert Series.
