DESCRIPTION:Adam Moezinia will be leading his Standards Trio\, presenting fresh arrangements of classic American Songbook compositions by such composers as George Gershwin\, Cole Porter\, and Richard Rodgers. \nA native of Los Angeles\, guitarist Adam Moezinia moved to New York City in 2010 to study at The Juilliard School where he received his graduate degree in Jazz Studies. He is a straight-ahead jazz guitarist rooted in the traditions of swing\, blues and the great American Songbook.  He has played with such jazz artists as vocalists Freddie Cole and Cecile McLorin Salvant\, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis\, and multireedists Will and Pete Anderson\, and has  performed at venues such as the Blue Note\, Birdland\, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. \n\nMoezinia has been influenced on guitar by jazz giants like Barney Kessel\, Herb Ellis\, Joe Pass\, and Jim Hall. DESCRIPTION:Brass Queens is a female-led\, New York-based brass band that has been dominating the brass band scene since 2019. \n\nFinding that they shared similar frustrations about the emerging brass band scene in New York City\, co-founders Alex Harris and Ally Chapel came together to form a group dedicated to showcasing the talents of female musicians in a landscape that was dominated by male musicians and bandleaders. After debuting in March 2019\, Brass Queens grew to be a fixture in the local music scene and was dubbed “the hardest working band in town” by their peers. The Queens gained a dedicated following through outdoor performances on the streets of Brooklyn and playing pop-up events in their community through the pandemic. \n\nA core value of the band is to play for as many audiences as possible to increase the visibility of female musicians in brass bands. Brass Queens tour regularly across the country and internationally. Recent highlights include a New Year’s Eve performance in Telluride\, multiple nights at Favela Chic in New Orleans\, and a sold out show at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit. They also make appearances on festival stages including the Ottawa Jazz Festival\, Northlands Music Festival\, MusikFest\, Duck Jazz Festival\, and multiple appearances at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival. Brass Queens has played major events like The Met Gala and David Byrne’s “Amazing Humans Doing Amazing Things!” Variety Show\, and for notable clients including New Balance\, Chanel\, Saks Fifth Avenue\, Tiffany & Co.\, Bombas\, Perrier\, Facebook\, Instagram\, and Pinterest. They have also performed on national television on Good Morning America\, and had multiple shows at iconic New York venues like The Capitol Theater\, Blue Note Jazz Club\, and Brooklyn Bowl. DESCRIPTION:Albert Music Hall will host the Township of Ocean’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Kick-Off Concert on Sunday\, April 12th at 2PM! \nDoors open 12:30pm\, Show 2:00pm \nThis special afternoon marks the beginning of a series of events celebrating this important milestone in our community’s history. \nThe event will feature a ceremonial program with local leaders and special guests\, followed by live music from talented area performers. \nStarting at 2PM\, there will be a ceremony featuring scheduled speakers and special guests include Mayor Ken Baulderstone\, NJ State Senator Carmen Amato\, and Adele Shaw of the Waretown Historical Society. \nAfter the ceremony\, enjoy an afternoon of music showcasing the traditional sounds that have been part of Waretown’s identity for generations. \nThe lineup includes: \nRedbird & Friends \nJames Dalton \nYankee Dime \nFish & Whistle. \nDoors open at 12:30 PM.
