DESCRIPTION:Since 1974\, Albert Music Hall has offered a lively stage for traditional music in Waretown\, New Jersey. \nEvery Saturday night\, the hall comes alive with the sound of live Bluegrass\, Country\, Folk\, Americana\, Old Timey\, and Pinelands music. \nThe Saturday Night show will feature 6 bands throughout the evening. Check https://alberthall.org for the latest information about the band lineup. \nDoors open at 5:30pm / Music 6:00 – 9:00pm. \nAdmission $6 for adults/$1 for children under 12. Cash only. \nThe Pickin’ Shed and porch are open for informal jam sessions starting at 5:30 pm. \nIt’s a great opportunity to learn\, play\, and connect with other musicians. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome — bring an instrument and join the jam! \nThe snack booth will be open offering hot dogs\, cheeseburgers\, Vegan “chik’n” patties and other hot food options as well as desserts\, beverages and more\, so folks can come have dinner with us. \nThe gift booth is fully stocked with souvenirs and gifts including Albert Music Hall t-shirts and mugs. In a short period of time\, she went from graduating from Berklee College of Music to winning the 2019 Latin GRAMMY® Award for Best New Artist. That same year\, her full-length debut\, Voy (I Go)\, produced by the award-winning Javier Limón for Casa Limón Records\, garnered praise from NPR and featured the hit “Me Llaman Nella” (They Call Me Nella). The title track was named the 14th best song of 2019 by The New York Times\, spanning all genres. \n\nMerging Venezuela’s folkloric roots\, modern production elements \, and inspiration from Andalusia\, Nella’s music echoes globally. She has sold out venues across the United States\, Venezuela\, Mexico\, Spain\, and the UK\, and has performed with renowned artists such as Alejandro Sanz\, Luis Enrique\, and Susana Baca. She has also collaborated with Jennifer López\, Juan Luis Guerra\, Carlos Vives\, Monsieur Periné\, and Los Amigos Invisibles. \n\nAcademy® Award winner Asghar Farhadi invited Nella to join the A-list cast of his film Everybody Knows\, alongside Academy® Award winners Javier Bardem\, Ricardo Darín\, and Penélope Cruz. DESCRIPTION:Albert Music Hall will host the Township of Ocean’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Kick-Off Concert on Sunday\, April 12th at 2PM! \nDoors open 12:30pm\, Show 2:00pm \nThis special afternoon marks the beginning of a series of events celebrating this important milestone in our community’s history. \nThe event will feature a ceremonial program with local leaders and special guests\, followed by live music from talented area performers. \nStarting at 2PM\, there will be a ceremony featuring scheduled speakers and special guests include Mayor Ken Baulderstone\, NJ State Senator Carmen Amato\, and Adele Shaw of the Waretown Historical Society. \nAfter the ceremony\, enjoy an afternoon of music showcasing the traditional sounds that have been part of Waretown’s identity for generations. \nThe lineup includes: \nRedbird & Friends \nJames Dalton \nYankee Dime \nFish & Whistle. \nDoors open at 12:30 PM.
