Watercolor and Gouache Class: Bridges

Bridges are more than structures—they are stories of connection, history, and design.

In this class, students will explore two contrasting bridge subjects: a rustic country covered bridge and an urban bridge.

Participants may choose to paint one or both, or focus on the style that speaks to them most.

We’ll break down strong shapes, repeating patterns, and perspective while using value and color temperature to create depth.

Emphasis will be placed on suggesting structure without over-detailing and integrating bridges naturally into their surrounding landscape or cityscape.
