There is perhaps no more influential, profound, or enigmatic songwriter in history than Bob Dylan. From the “protest songs” of his early years to his introspective, sometimes caustic commentary on love and humanity, his songs have become an integral part of Americana and have garnered countless awards and honors around the world.
Gary Solomon, co-founder of the acclaimed tribute to The Band, The THE BAND Band, steps on stage alone, acoustic guitar and harmonica in hand, to present a broad selection of Dylan’s incredible catalog, delivered singer-songwriter style.
Dylan’s music has been played, covered, copied, reworked, reinvented, and reconstructed more than perhaps any other songwriter in history, by everything from rock bands to jazz combos to concert orchestras. Here, Solomon pares down the production to the fundamental singer-songwriter format, from which most of these songs originated, allowing Dylan’s compelling lyrics and beautiful melodies to flow, direct and unadorned
