OCAG193 Techniques for Shading & Shadowing Objects in Watercolor
June 10 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
4 weeks โ Mondays
Have you ever tried to paint shadows in watercolor and been disappointed with the result? Me too. Sometimes the color is wrong, the results look muddy, or they just do not look convincing.
So how should you shade and paint shadows in watercolors? Painting lifelike and convincing shadows begins with a good understanding of how light, shade, and shadows work in the real world. Shadows are never just gray, and mixing the correct colors for shadows depends on the colors of the object and its surroundings.
In this class we will explore different methods you can use to add convincing Glowing Shadows and how to use Color to Deepen the Shaded area of objects in your artwork.
Note: Reference photos will be supplied.
