BRICK – Caregiving can be emotionally and physically exhausting, and many caregivers forget to care for themselves while focusing on others.

That’s why the Ocean County Library will host “Self-Care for the Caregiver” on Wednesday, November 18 for anyone caring for a loved one through illness, aging, or end-of-life challenges.

It will take place at the Brick Branch at 2:30 p.m. and the Manchester Branch at 6 p.m.

Explore why self-care is so important during times of stress and caregiving.

This program will include discussion and practical take-home ideas for reducing stress and preventing burnout.

Participants are encouraged to come as they are and take time to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves in a nonjudgmental space.

This program will be presented by Jill McClennan of End of Life Clarity. Jill is a Certified Death Doula, end-of-life and grief coach, and trauma-sensitive yoga instructor with over 10 years of experience in creating impactful programs.

For the past four years, Jull has led interactive workshops through End of Life Clarity, focusing on essential topics such as grief, guided meditation, and relaxation techniques.

Through her workshops, Jill creates a safe, supportive space for participants to explore these complex topics.

Registration is required for these free programs.
