History Happens Here – The History of Viking Village
Join us in the museum to enjoy a presentation by Karen Larson, the President of the Barnegat Light Museum.
Karen unveils the colorful history of Viking Village, founded in 1920, by first-generation Scandinavian settlers, which began as a lobster fishing co-op.
Karen’s family has played an instrumental role in the development of the vibrant “village” it is today.
Join us in person at the museum at 1:00 PM (doors open at 12:30),
where we’ll welcome you with delicious, warm coffee provided by Whittingham Coffee House and tasty morsels from Baked on the Beach for a relaxed and social afternoon of learning.
Wednesday May 6, 2026 – 1:00pm
Doors open at 12:30pm for coffee & cookies. Pre-registration preferred but walk ins welcome.
