Family Sled Kite Workshop with Lisa Willoughby

Join us for a hands-on workshop where kids will explore the art and science of kite making! In this fun and creative session, children will build and decorate their very own sled kites and then take them to the skies.

This workshop led by Lisa Willoughby, professional kite flier, World Sport Kite judge, and organizer of the LBI Kite Show in Surf City will guide participants through:

What makes a sled kite unique

Step-by-step kite construction

The science behind how kites fly

Artistic design and decoration

A look at different types of kites from around the world

After building their custom kites, kids will head outside to fly them in the LBI Arts Foundation parking area.

This is a great opportunity for young makers and future flyers to learn, create, and have fun in the open air.
