Broadway Re-Imagined with Hailey Brinnel

LBIF is excited for vocalist and trombonist Hailey Brinnel’s return to our stage with her imaginative jazz arrangements of Broadway standards.

Brinnel was a finalist in the 2021 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and named one of GRAMMY.com’s “10 Emerging Jazz Artists to Watch”.

As a child, jazz vocalist and trombonist Hailey Brinnel’s favorite pastime was sitting in the passenger seat of her dad’s car singing along to the soundtracks of beloved musicals,

such as The Music Man and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

As a nod to those cherished musical car-rides, her third full-length album will be made up of innovative arrangements of Broadway standards, including the works of Stephen Sondheim,

Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cole Porter, John Kander, and more.

The band joining Hailey on vocals and trombone will be Andrew Carson – Trumpet,

Silas Irvine – Piano, Joe Plowman – Bass, Steve Fidyk – Drums (former drummer for the Army Jazz Band for over 20 years).
