3rd Annual Clash Of The Titans

The third annual Clash Of The Titans Game between Lester Glenn Subaru and the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football team kicks off on Sunday, August 13th, 2023.

This year’s event will return to Community Park in Point Pleasant, NJ where the two teams will face off to raise funds and awareness for the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program. In addition to the football game between the two teams, there will be a number of other events and activities for attendees to enjoy, including food trucks, bumper cars, games and prizes, music and a rock wall.

This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to enjoy the festivities while also learning more about what the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program does to assist those with special needs in our community.

The Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program allows children with various types of special needs the opportunity to participate in a team sport that promotes inclusion and helps those with special needs succeed. The challenger athletes have the opportunity to play a team sport, experience a sense of comradery and make physical gains in terms of coordination and endurance, while also learning how to work as a member of a team. Developmental skills, such as the ability to wait, focus, follow directions and feel a sense of accomplishment are worked on through on-the-field skills and training.

Lester Glenn Auto Group launched a company-wide donation campaign through its Lester Glenn Cares community involvement initiative in January 2020. Each of Lester Glenn Auto Group’s locations in Ocean and Monmouth Counties selected a local organization as a community partner for the year.

Through the yearlong partnership, each Lester Glenn showroom donated a portion of every vehicle sold in 2020 to its community partner.

The Lester Glenn Subaru location selected the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football League as its community partner. Throughout 2020, the Lester Glenn Subaru team donated a total of $10,100 to its selected community partner, in addition to hosting the first-ever Clash Of The Titans Football Game.
