LETCO presents “Done to Death”

*Done to Death* is a killer comedy-thriller by Fred Carmichael that slices through the lives of five over-the-hill mystery writers, each clinging to their own barely-breathing writing style. Hired by a TV network and dragged to a crumbling mansion on the aptly named Vulture’s Vault—a spooky island somewhere in the Caribbean—they’re tasked with creating a brand-new murder mystery series. Easy, right? After all, these pros have “killer instincts.”
Among the group: a snobby couple who prefer their murders served with sophistication, a James Bond wannabe who’s all action, a hard-boiled has-been who once cracked skulls (and cases), and a queen of the “logical murder”—who’s just a tad too old to keep her plots from unraveling. What they all share? A flair for rehashing the same tired stories that have been, you guessed it, *done to death*.
But when actual bodies start dropping, the clichés pile up faster than the corpses, and it’s anyone’s guess who’s knocking off the competition. Suspicion, confusion, and plenty of laughs follow as this group of hack writers tries to outwit the real killer before they find themselves penned into their very last chapter.
Come for the mystery, stay for the laughs—or the murder. Either way, it’s bound to be a killer night.
