Pine Shores August Art Exhibits

Two Pine Shores member artist art exhibits are on display for the month of August.

In the Manahawkin Stafford Gallery, a “Student Show” of 29 paintings is on exhibit showing the work that some artists have opted to present as examples of their art created in Pine Shores’ adult classes held over the past three years. The winners will be announced and awards presented at the PSAA monthly meeting on Monday, August 14 at 6:30 pm. The public is invited, and the meeting concludes with a demonstration of art that will be taught in an upcoming class.

In the Tuckerton Art Center Gallery, an “Artists Choice” exhibit presents work that member artists selected to display, along with highlights of some of the work created in the many diverse three-dimensional art workshops offered in the Tuckerton Gallery this summer. Everyone is invited to join in celebrating this wide-ranging collection of art styles and mediums at a public reception on Sunday, September 3 from 1-4.

September will feature a members’ Photography Show at the Stafford Gallery and a Featured Artists specialty exhibit at the Tuckerton Art Center presenting paintings by Herk Jobes and Carol Skiles.

The gallery at 140 E. Main Street in Tuckerton is also open Fridays and whenever the “Art Show Today” sign is outside. Free parking is available in the back, accessed by the driveway shared with Wells Fargo Bank.

The gallery at 94 Stafford Avenue in Manahawkin is open to the public on Thursdays from 10 to 2 and during the member meeting on the 2^nd Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm. The public is also invited to participate in weekly Portrait Sessions on Thursdays from 7-9 pm.
