LITHUANIAN FLAG RAISING SCHEDULED FOR FEB. 11
The ceremony marks the 92nd anniversary of the Lithuanian Declaration of Independence, after more than 120 years of
Czarist Russian rule.
“We welcome our friends and neighbors of Lithuanian descent to this flag raising ceremony,” said Ocean County
Freeholder Director James F. Lacey. “We are pleased to participate in the celebration of their independence by proclaiming
this day Lithuanian Independence Day in Ocean County.”
The American Lithuanian Club of Whiting is sponsoring the ceremony.
